Callie Cat

It took me a long time to dare to attempt a painting of Callie. Callie ... a tiger-striped, black-tan kitty with huge eyes. She always seems panicked, needing to jump and bounce all over the garden, on the bed, purring, kneading my shoulder, waking me numerous times through the night. But in repose, she has a zen-like quality, a contrast to her waking nature. Here she napped in a bright sunlight from a calm early spring afternoon, on her favourite quilt on a winter afternoon. Blues contrasting with her red hairs ... hope you like her. Callie Cat 22" x 28"
