Colours are my first love ... I aim to depict through colours my often near-euphoric observations of the every day ordinary - single moments in time - that make the world a magical place. I want time to slow for people so they can feel that peace that is possible in all things. I hope to challenge others to witness this everyday enchantment of colours, shadows and light – to show our connection with all existence. Please visit my website at http:dorisdaigle.ca

Hi,
This is my second puppy portrait. I foiled the background, hated it, lifted some of it and glazed over.
Sage is a rescue from Trinidad, brought to Canada by a vet and given to her brother who is a good friend. Sage is kind of an odd pup ... she always has her neck extended out, leaning back from you, as if she's never quite sure how she feels. How you feel. Testing the grounds.
Gentle, loving. I wanted an odd painting for an odd soul. ... Sage was not quite as easy to paint as Teddy was, but I'm happy with the outcome. She's been delivered to her humans now. I wonder if she'll recognize herself in the painting?! :)
Namaste ...

Dorice, nicely done, she is beautiful!
Wow! really great painting and the background looks great.
Love the composition and background. Very nice puppy!
Thanks, everyone!
I like this one! I think the background is especially well done and it suits the puppy's portrait. There's lots of mystery with that pup!
